Filtration Efficiency

Electrospun nanofibers reach a much broader surface loading capacity, which maximise filtration efficiency and hence protection against particulate matters and viruses (including but not limited to SARS-CoV-2, H1N1, INFLUENZA). The viral filtration has been proven to reach an efficiency of ≥99%.

The NASK NANOFIBER RESPIRATOR may appear to be simple on the surface, but each feature has been designed to prevent the risk of contamination and to provide high level of breathability and maximum comfort for all day wear.


Electrospun nanofibers 

NASK nanofibers are spinned and inter-weaved into web-like structure. They have the unique ability to hold electrostatic charges. Ultralight and 3000 times thinner than a strand of human hair, they produce a high specific surface area with high porosity resulting in a larger catching capacity, thus enhancing two competing properties, filterability and breathability, even in the presence of fluids and moisture.   

Filtration efficiency ≥ 99%

NASK NANOFIBER RESPIRATOR can not only filter particle size smaller or greater than 0.26 -0.3 microns - but also the so called Most Penetrating Particle Size (MPPS|PM2.5). MMPS are known to be the hardest particle sizes to capture. Hence, viruses such as SARS-CoV-2, H1N1, EBOLA and INFLUENZA can be easily filtered out.

Bactericidal formula

The microscopic nanofibers capture bacteria by electrostatic attraction, cause cell lysis and kill ≥ 99% of bacteria in less than 5 minutes as tested against staphylococcus aureus, pseudomonas aeruginosa, streptococcus pneumoniae and klebsiella pneumoniae.

NASK nanofibers are extremely light and thin. This leads to less material required during production, thus providing greater breathability as compared to conventional FFP2 and FFP3 respirators. No eyewear fogging
